AMCR: Methodology
With the launch of the Asset Management Competition Report (AMCR), e-fundresearch.com provides a consolidated ranking of the European asset management industry. Data from 34,000+ investment funds were analyzed to calculate one specific score for each asset manager (AMS). The Asset Manager Score ranking provides an overview on the competitive landscape of the entire European asset management industry.
The Asset Manager Score is a newly developed key-variable which is based
on both the volumes and the relative long-term performances (measured by percentile values) of all qualified funds of an asset manager.
Due to the fact that the AMS is achieved through a bottom-up approach
(based on raw data of 34,000+ qualified funds), e-fundresearch.com is able to also disclose individual (sub-)asset class rankings as well as a single-fund’s
impact on the overall or asset class specific score. The base version of the
AMCR contains detailed information on Asset Manager Scorings and individual asset class scorings (7 asset classes) of 300+ asset managers.
